Department of Computer Science and Engineering

About Department: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Government Degree College, Longtharai Valley offers Foundation Course (Computer Skills) in 4th Semester, Society and Technology Soft Study Course and Project in 6th Semester of both Bachelor of Arts (B.A) General and Honours 3 years under graduate programmes where students are encouraged to understand and acquire knowledge with an integrated thinking about education, research and development, application and training. The students are also provided basic fundamental ideas of environmental sciences and humanities, use of technology in society, professional ethics, innovation, intellectual property etc. Since college establishment in 2012, the department has been always functioning with various skills for excellence.

Programmes:

The Department offers Foundation Course (Computer Skills) in 4th Semester, Society and Technology Soft Study Course and Project in 6th Semester of both Bachelor of Arts (B.A) General and Honours 3 years under graduate programmes.

Moreover, the Department also provided various courses through SWAYAM-NPTEL Local Chapter, organizing various skill development programs through various IT and CSE training institute, IT and CSE related government bodies of the state and outside the state.

Also, the department is under processing for introducing some certificate courses in every semester/year very soon.

To study and implement technological based education in society as well as for countries need.

1. To study and aquire the knowledge of Computer Science and Implement it through practical work.

2. To introduce technological practices for using in society development.

3. To develop the ideas and implement the ideas.

The faculty of this department is doing some research papers on his area of interests such as Digital Image Processing, Pattern Recognition and Detection. The faculty will also apply for minor or major project in his area of interest very soon.
